A vertical hanging scroll depicting a classic snowy mountain landscape attributed to the late Joseon dynasty painter Choi Buk, 1712 to 1760. The artist was selected to represent the arts of Korea as a member of the Tongsinsa Envoy to Japan. Executed in ink and light washes, the composition features craggy, snow dusted peaks, gnarled pine trees, and a solitary figure seated within a riverside pavilion. Inscribed with Calligraphy and red seals. Additionally inscribed with Calligraphy, on the backside.
