Internally, pages are generally clean and bright with light age toning. No significant foxing, stains, or evidence of moisture damage observed. Illustrations and plates remain well preserved. A contemporary presentation inscription by the author, Charles Biederman, appears on the front free endpaper, dated October 1960.
