An antique French colored engraving of La Sculpture by Etienne Fessard, based on the original artwork by Charles-Andre van Loo. Part of a celebrated series depicting the liberal arts, the work features a youth in an artist's studio engaged in the carving of a classical marble bust. The lower margin includes a formal dedication to Madame de Pompadour alongside the coat of arms of the Marquise. Framed.
