After Edouard Bisson, French, 1856 to 1939, painting on a porcelain plaque titled Loves Orchard. Depicts a beautiful young woman in a gold, patterned gown and a flowing pink sash reaches up toward a tree branch. An infant cupid or cherub sits precariously on the branch above, offering her a piece of fruit. Two additional cherubs are visible in the soft background landscape, emphasizing a classic late 19th century allegorical or mythological theme. Signed lower left. Framed by an ornate gilt frame.
