In 1959, Gotthard Graubner came into contact with Otto Piene and Heinz Mack, the founders of the Zero group, later became a member of Zero Group. Gotthard Graubner, 1930 to 2013, was a pioneering German abstract painter celebrated for his unique exploration of color, space, and materiality through his signature cushion paintings and color space bodies.
