An ancient Pre Columbian carved stone anthropomorphic figurine totem or idol. The ware depicts a seated or kneeling figure with characteristic Olmec features, a large elongated head, a symbol of ritual deformation of the skull, slanted almond shaped eyes and a trapezoidal, slightly open mouth, reminiscent of a jaguar mask, the so called werewolf jaguar image. The lower part of the body has holes through it. In ancient times, these holes were used to wear the figurine as a chest amulet or to attach ritual feathers and threads.
