A Russian carved hardstone jar with a cover designed as a decorative trinket or powder box. Exhibits a rich, semi-translucent caramel and deep amber-brown tone with natural banded variations. The main rounded base is intricately carved with a relief pattern of rosette flowers and trailing leaves framed by a classic gadrooned border. The matching domed lid mirrors this botanical theme with sweeping carved leaf details. The band joined the lid and base made of 14k gold and adorned with a row of diamonds.
