Lot 23 - ANTIQUE SCOTTISH ETCHING ON PAPER BY DAVID DEUCHAR

An antique Scottish etching on paper by David Deuchar, 1743 to 1808. The etching depicts a standing figure of a young boy in seventeenth-century attire holding an elongated tool. Executed in the manner of the Dutch Old Masters, the print features fine linear detail and tonal cross-hatching characteristic of early nineteenth-century reproductive printmaking. Matted and framed. Inscribed and dated circa 1792 to 1803 on the back side. Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
