A vintage Italian hand-carved and painted wooden sculpture. Inscribed ANRI WOODCARVINGS on the paper label on the bottom. Founded in 1912 by Anton Riffeser in South Tyrol, Italy, ANRI transformed traditional Alpine woodcarving into a globally recognized art form. The sculpture depicts a musician, likely a peasant or Thinking Man, posed meditatively with a mandolin or similar stringed instrument resting beside him on a rocky base.
