A Russian Imperial Silver presentation box. The round shaped box is adorned with a mounted medal issued in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Military Order of the Holy Great Martyr and Victorious George in 1869. The medal depicts profile portraits of Empress Catherine II and Emperor Alexander II. Inscribed to the edge. The borders features an engraved foliage ornament. The box is encrusted with an Emerald stone, on a clasp. Marked with a Silver standard hallmark, and manufacturers marks. Russian Silver Boxes, Desk Wares, and Collectibles. Total weight: 261.8 g.
