Lot 213 - VTG SET OF FRENCH QUIMPER CERAMIC TEACUPS AND SAUCERS

A vintage set of Quimper ceramic teacups and saucers is a classic example of French faience, handcrafted in the town of Quimper, Brittany. This style is famous for its Quimper paint touch, vibrant, hand-painted folk art designs. The central motif of cups typically features Breton peasants in traditional regional costume, often surrounded by floral sprays and concentric banding. Each piece is hand-painted with bold primary colors on a creamy white background. Wares are hand inscribed on the bottom: Henriot Quimper, France and numbered. One piece inscribed France. The lot includes eight saucers, four small cups and one bigger cup. Collectible French Ceramic Wares, Kitchenware and Collectibles.
