An antique 19th-century steel color engraving by Samuel Fisher, British, 1802 to 1855, titled View of Baltimore, after William Henry Bartlett, a British landscape artist. The original artwork was made by Bartlett during his first tour of the United Kingdom and North America between 1836 and 1852. This specific view was later engraved by Samuel Fisher and published around 1839 to 1840 in the influential travel book American Scenery, or Land, Lake, and River: Illustrations of Transatlantic Nature by Nathaniel Parker Willis.
