An antique Russian Orthodox icon depicting Christ Pantocrator The Lord Almighty, also known as Savior Jesus Christ, dating to the late 19th century. The icon is hand painted in traditional mixed media, using egg tempera over gesso and levkas on a wooden panel. The image is embellished with an 84 silver riza oklad, finely engraved and polychrome enameled with traditional ornamental patterns. The halo is further enriched with pierced decorative elements, demonstrating skilled silversmith craftsmanship. The silver is hallmarked with the Imperial Russian 84 silver standard, accompanied by makers marks that are now indistinct. A fine and devotional example of late 19th century Russian Orthodox religious art, valued for its classic Pantocrator iconography, traditional painting technique, and period silverwork.
