An Asian four-panel table screen featuring figures made with a mixture of painted wood and carved hardstone appliques. These screens were popular export items, especially during the mid-20th century. The screen has black, lacquered wood frame. Each panel depicts a female figure in a garden or pavilion setting. The clothing of the figures has incised details, and elements like trees, fences, and background scenery are likely hand-painted in black ink.
