An antique 1710 engraved map titled Germany corrected from the Observations of the Royal Society at London and the Royal Academy at Paris, by John Senex, Charles Price, and John Maxwell. Hand-coloured in outline, extending West to East from London to Warsaw and North to South from Schleswig to Venice. Framed. John Senex, 1678 to 1740, was one of the foremost mapmakers in England in the early 18th century. He worked with several mapmakers over the course of his career, including Jeremiah Seller and Charles Price. In 1728, Senex was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society, a rarity for mapmakers.
