Fumio Kitaoka, Japanese, 1918 to 2007, a limited edition woodblock print on paper, Japanese Seashore. Signed and dated in pencil, lower right. Titled in pencil, lower to the center. Numbered in pencil, 186 of 210, lower left. Kitaoka Fumio was a Japanese artist. He was trained in oil painting, and later became interested in woodblock printing. Kitaoka explored both realistic and abstract styles, finally settling later in life on a style that embraced both realism and abstraction in brightly colored landscapes.
