A Central African Congo Tabwa hand carved wooden mask. The mask is adorned with geometric facial features with oval eyes, an elongated sculpted nose, and an oval shaped open mouth. The upper part is decorated with engraved ornaments. Tabwa, a people who live mainly on the southwestern shores of Lake Tanganyika, on the high grassy plateaus of the Marungu massif in extreme southeastern Congo.
