A pair of Central African Congo Tribal Art Kota Axe metal weapons. Each has a blade, whose form suggests a bird head with curves. The handle is adorned with the wire-wrapped detail. Each handle is adorned with nails, relief metal ornaments and gold tone ball shaped accents. Such knives were sometimes used as an exchange between families arranging marriages.
