Provenance: This artwork was purchased directly from Coral Gables Auction, located in Miami, Florida. According to the auction house, the piece came to them on consignment from a respected private collector in Miami, who dedicated his entire life to collecting fine art and is widely recognized for his knowledge and experience in the field. Raoul Dufy, a French Fauvist painter, later Cubist. He developed a colorful, decorative style that became fashionable for designs of ceramics and textiles. He is noted for scenes of open air social events. He was also a draftsman, printmaker, book illustrator, scenic designer, designer of furniture, and planner of public spaces.
