An antique Chinese Yongzheng Famille Rose porcelain lotus bowl. Qing Dynasty, Yongzheng period, 1723 to 1735. Porcelain with famille rose enamels. Marked on the bottom with a six character kaishu mark Da Qing Yongzheng Nianzhi in underglaze blue. Artistic and Historical Context The Yongzheng reign was a significant period for the advancement of Qing porcelain. Famille rose techniques reached their peak, reflecting the imperial courts pursuit of refined craftsmanship and the integration of Western and Chinese artistic traditions. The bowl is entirely decorated in famille rose enamels with blooming lotus motifs, symbolizing purity and elegance, commonly seen in Buddhist art and imperial aesthetics.
